The same charging system for all phones, new EU rules, a setback for Apple.

Suppose there are 10 Android phones and an iPhone wall in a room, and none of them bring a charger. You can get a single charger from anywhere by asking ‘Brother, can you give me a Type C’ and make all the Android people hungry. But that’s not the case with the iPhone. You need to find an iPhone owner to sign the charger. Things will not be easy, as these are small. Type C era.

One of the many reasons why the iPhone is so different from other smartphones is the special charging port-connector system, but its inconvenience is a reality. This is not the only thought of the common man. The European Commission, the governing body of the European Union, has discussed the matter and prepared a recommendation. The commission recommends that the Type-C charging port and connector be sufficient for all devices, as is the case with current Android phones and other gadgets. This puts a lot of pressure on Apple itself. Everyone else on the phone follows the same pattern. Type C is mandatory for tabs, speakers, gaming consoles and cameras. The attempt to bring this uniformity is for charging via cable. Wireless charging will not be restricted.

Is Europe’s move to hurt the American company Apple? I do not know. This is to prevent the charger and cable from becoming unusable and electronic waste with each upgrade. You need to be able to use the old charger when buying a new phone. There may be a reform for that. The phone does not have a charger. Consider buying separately if needed.

The recommendations of the European Commission have reached the European Parliament, where they will become law if approved. Once enacted in Europe, it will not take long for it to spread around the world. The recommendation stipulates that companies will be obliged to fully implement this within 2 years if it becomes law.

Naturally Apple is opposed. The company claims that such regulation is an impediment to innovation. The European Commission has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating “Similar, baseless allegations concerning have been made more than once. Authorities have no doubt that the well-being of consumers is paramount.
