Redmi K40, K40 Pro and K40 Pro + arrived: Price and Specifications
When the first Redmi K Series Redmi K20 hit the market again in 2019, it was a huge success. It came with a premium design, excellent display, impressive cameras and a powerful chipset. Also, this lineup was affordable for users to access on a good budget. Now the new Redmi offers are the best. These phones strive to perform well in all areas, be it gaming, photography, consumer content or everyday tasks. These premium budget phones come as Redmi’s Prestige phones.
The K40 lineup is quite different in terms of design from the previous K30 series. However, the design is not new, as these phones are similar to Xiaomi’s flagship M11 lineup. It uses Samsung’s E4 Bright Display Tech, which first came with Xiaomi’s MI11. This display saves a lot of battery and gives brighter and better contrast levels than displays. In addition to the K40 display, it has a 120 Hz refresh rate, HRD 10+, MEMC and DCIP 3 color gamut support. It comes with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hire’s audio certification. There is a lot going on in this new K40 lineup.
K40, K40 Pro and K40 Pro + Specifications
The K40, K40 Pro and K40 Pro + offer a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD + resolution (1800-2400 pixels). Additionally, these devices have a 120 Hz refresh rate and color gamut support.

All three models in the lineup have the Snapdragon 800 Series chipset. The lineup with the flagship Snapdragon 888 TE is the K40 Pro and the K40 Pro +. The standard K40 will be available with the Snapdragon 870 chipset. These are all 5G and Wi-Fi 6 enabled chipsets.
RAM and storage:
These phones come with 6GB / 8GB / 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. RAM and storage variants K40 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, K40 Pro 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB RAM Provides storage variants. Finally, the top variant, the K40 Pro + comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage in a single variant.
The standard K40 comes with a 48-megapixel sensor, the K40 Pro with a 64-megapixel sensor and the K40 Pro + with a 108-megapixel sensor. The other two sensors include an 8-megapixel ultraviolet sensor, a 5-megapixel macro sensor and a 5-megapixel macro sensor, which is equivalent to all three phones.
All three phones in the lineup will get a 20-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.
These smartphones are powered by a 4520 mAh battery with support for 33 watts fast charging.
All of these will run Android 11.
